British author Arthur Conan Doyle wrote a historical adventure called The White Company that takes place during the Hundred Years' War. Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan was a British essayist and doctor. He was the man behind the creation of the famous fictional detective, Sherlock Holmes in 1887 for 'A Study in Scarlet'.
