Actions and Reactions' is a good collection of very different short stories and poems. Rudyard Kipling's this collection of short stories, was published in 1909. These short stories were written on different themes, nothing is common there. Like--- 'The Night Mail' is a science fiction looking prospects of futuristic aerial transport. 'The House Surgeon' is a supernatural and mysterious ghost story. 'A Habitation Enforced' is a story of an American couple, moves on to live in their ancestors house. They realize the bond of land and blood is strong enough. 'Gram- A Hostage' is a story about a dog, gives a superb message of dutifulness. 'The Mother Hive' is a tale of sentiments and responsibilities. 'The Puzzler' is a comic story, in which author gives a vivid humorous picture of capturing a monkey. 'A Deal in Cotton' concerns long tale, about the efforts of a young man to develop cotton growing in the black soil region. 'The Little Foxes' is an amusing story of Ethiopia, a British Governor tried hard to curb the foxes population.
