LONSDALE RAGG

Lonsdale Ragg was born on October 23, 1866, in Wellington, Shropshire, and died in Bath on July 31, 1945. Ragg went to Adams' Grammar School, Christ Church, Oxford, and Ripon College Cuddesdon for his education. He also went to Cuddesdon Theological College and was called in 1889. He worked as a teacher at Christ Church and then as vice-principal of Cuddesdon after being a curate at All Saints', Oxford. Between 1899 and 1903, he was manager of Bishop's Hostel in Lincoln and vice-chancellor of Lincoln Cathedral. He then worked as a chaplain in Bologna, Venice, Valescure, Bordighera, Cannes, and Rome, among other places. He was made Archdeacon of Gibraltar and stayed in that job until he died.
